The following certificate has been produced in TANA for certifying local web servers. Self signed certificate. It is available in two different formats: try the other if your browser doesn'accept the former.

To install the certificate in a browser it is usually enough to make it open the link above and answer the questions that will follow. That enables the browser to automatically verify the connection with TANA servers. That way one doesn't have to repeat the same things every time. The CA private key is on a machine not accessible from the Internet.
Verifications can be carried out on I.P. addresses:

A web server certificate allows to crypt data during transmission. Verifications may be carried out to ensure that a server is run by the organization that you expect to communicate with, rather than a masquerader whose aim is to steal data. Those who are in a really paranoid circumstance, after installing the certificate, may ask for the text of the certificate, as displayed below, to be retransmitted via e-mail, fax, or telephone.
